Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC (SJIBPLC) held the 91st meeting of its Shariah Supervisory Committee on 2 March at the board room of the bank’s corporate head office to review compliance in Islamic banking operations.
The bank said the meeting discussed shariah compliance across overall Islamic banking activities and issued guidelines and approvals on matters placed before the committee.
Shariah Supervisory Committee Chairman Mufti Shamsuddin Zia presided over the meeting.
Shariah Supervisory Committee Member Mufti Abdullah Masum attended the session.
Managing Director Mosleh Uddin Ahmed and Head of Shariah Secretariat Md Abul Bashar were also present.
The meeting began with recitation from the Holy Qur’an and ended with doa and munajat seeking the bank’s continued prosperity.
