The BNP has simultaneously expelled all its rebel candidates across the country. This disciplinary action was taken against those who failed to withdraw their nominations by the final deadline for withdrawal.
In a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Wednesday night, the party published the list of the expelled leaders.
According to the notice, the individuals were removed from primary membership and all other party positions for engaging in activities contrary to party policy, ideals, and discipline. The order is to take immediate effect.
The following leaders have been expelled across various divisions.
Rangpur Division
• Dinajpur-2: ANM Bazlur Rashid, Joint General Secretary of Dinajpur District BNP and Advisor of Birol Upazila BNP.
• Dinajpur-5: AZM Rezwanul Haq, Member of the BNP National Executive Committee.
• Nilphamari-4: Riad Arafan Sarker Rana, former Joint General Secretary of Saidpur District BNP.
