Gold prices in the local market have increased again following a fresh announcement by Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS).

BAJUS announced in a notice on Sunday that this latest gold price will be effective from Monday. This is a record price for gold in the country’s history.

According to the new announcement, 22-carat gold has been raised by Tk1,050 per bhori. Consequently, the price per bhori has been fixed at Tk2,18,117.

The 21-carat gold will be sold at Tk2,08,202 per bhori, 18-carat at Tk1,78,459 per bhori, and traditional method gold at Tk1,48,600 per bhori.

Just a week ago, BAJUS had set the price of this quality of gold at Tk2,17,067 per bhori.

However, the price of silver remains unchanged in the domestic market.

The price of 22-carat silver is Tk4,572 per bhori. Additionally, 21-carat silver is Tk4,362 per bhori, 18-carat is Tk3,732 per bhori, and traditional method silver is being sold at Tk2,800 per bhori.
