An allegation of contempt of court has been brought against Supreme Court lawyer Advocate Fazlur Rahman, who is a BNP-nominated candidate for Kishoreganj-4 (Itna–Mithamain–Austagram) in the 13th national election.
International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Prosecutor (Admin) Advocate Gazi MH Tamim confirmed the matter.
An application was submitted at the ICT registrar’s office on behalf of the prosecution on Wednesday, he added.
According to the prosecution, Advocate Fazlur recently made objectionable remarks about the ICT, which were published in various media outlets.
