A total of sixty-six benches have been formed to conduct judicial proceedings in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court.
The list of the sixty-six benches, formed under the directive of Chief Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury, has been published on the Supreme Court’s website.
Among them are 33 single-judge benches and 33 double-judge benches.
On the same day, Chief Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury will preside over judicial proceedings in the Appellate Division for the first time since assuming office.
On Sunday at 10:30 am, the Supreme Court Bar Association will accord a reception to the Chief Justice in courtroom No 1 of the Appellate Division.
Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury took oath as the 26th Chief Justice of the country on 28 December.
