The inauguration ceremony of the “2nd Bangladesh-China Green Textile Expo – BCGTX 2026,” a specialized international exhibition on the green textile industry, was held on Thursday at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Kuril, Dhaka.

The exhibition has been organised by Savor International Limited, co-organised by the Chinese Enterprises Association in Bangladesh (CEAB), and supported by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bangladesh, reads a press release.

BGMEA, BGBA and JCI are serving as knowledge partners, while Shanghai Climate Week is serving as an associate partner.

Focused on sustainable and eco-friendly textile technologies and innovations, the exhibition has brought together renowned textile and garment companies from Bangladesh and China, along with investors, technologists and business representatives.

The exhibition was inaugurated by chief guest Khandakar Abdul Muktadir, MP, Minister of Commerce, Government of Bangladesh.

Special guests included Yao Wen, ambassador of China to Bangladesh; Han Kun, president of the Chinese Enterprise Association in Bangladesh (CEAB); Lisa Lou, vice president of the Overseas Chinese Association in Bangladesh (OCAIB); Shah Rayeed Chowdhury, director of BGMEA; Mohd Khorshed Alam, president of the Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCCI); Md Abdul Hamid Pintu, president of the Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA); and Md Faizul Alam, managing director of Savor International Limited.

The exhibition features eco-friendly and recyclable textile technologies, alongside B2B meetings, seminars and panel discussions, with participation from leading entrepreneurs of Bangladesh and China.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors from daily from 10am to 7pm from May 14 to 16, 2026.
