Two people including a motorcyclist were killed and another was injured after a bus hit their motorcycle on Natore-Bogura highway in Singra upazila of Natore on Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as motorcycle driver Mohammad Hira, 26, a resident of Islabari village in Sadar upazila, and passenger Jiban Hossain, 18, from the Sadhupara area of Lalpur upazila.
Mahabubur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Jhalmalia Highway Police Station, said that the accident occurred around 5am in Bandar Amtoli Bridge area.
The three individuals were travelling from Natore to Singra on a motorcycle when a bus coming from Bogura rammed into them, leaving Hira and Jiban dead on the spot.
Another passenger, Saiful Islam, was injured in the collision. Upon receiving the information, Natore Fire Service rescued Saiful and admitted him to Natore Sadar Hospital.
