Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique said his side will attack against Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final second leg. PSG lead 5-4 from the first leg and travel to the Allianz Arena.
Enrique said, “We did not come here to defend, we came to win the match. A one-goal lead means nothing. We know Bayern can come back into the game, but we can score as well.”
He added that PSG will not change their approach. He rates Bayern as one of the strongest opponents this season but plans to stick to his team’s style.
Enrique said the first leg ranked among the best matches of his coaching career, though he found it difficult to enjoy from the bench due to the pace and chances at both ends.
PSG carry positive memories from Munich. They won the Champions League title at this stadium last season, and Enrique believes that experience can help the squad manage the occasion.
Warren Zaire-Emery expects another high-tempo game. He anticipates an open contest similar to the first leg, with both sides creating chances and pushing forward.
PSG will look to control possession and attack through wide areas, while Bayern will press high and commit numbers forward. The tie remains open despite PSG’s narrow advantage, with a place in the final at stake.
