upay, the mobile financial service (MFS) of UCB Fintech company limited, a subsidiary of United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB), has signed an agreement with Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), to enable the digital payment of academic fees.
Under this agreement, DUET students will be able to make different types of academic payments—including tuition, hall and other fees—conveniently through upay, reads a press release.
This partnership offers students a faster, easier and more accessible way to manage and pay their university fees.
The agreement was signed at a ceremony attended by senior representatives from both organisations.
Present from DUET were Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Iqbal, Registrar (Additional Charge) Dr Md Mostaqur Rahman, Comptroller (Additional Charge) Dr Md Zakir Hossain, and, Students’ Welfare Office Director Dr Utpal Kumar Das.
Representing upay were Head of Govt Sales Hasan Mohammad Zahid, Head of Corporate Sales Sajjad Alam, and Assistant Regional Manager (Retail Business) Khandkar Tahsin Faruque.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment by both upay and DUET to expand convenient digital payment options in education, providing students with a seamless way to manage their academic payments.
