The Dhaka‑bound intercity train, Upakul Express, remained stranded for two hours in Noakhali on Tuesday after trees fell on the railway line during a storm.
The train, which left Sonapur Railway Station at 6am, was halted at Harinarayanpur station until Fire Service personnel cleared the track.
It later resumed its journey from Maijdee Court station toward Chaumuhani, though officials warned of possible further delays due to fallen trees reported along the route.
Station Master Asaduzzaman confirmed the incident to Times of Bangladesh.
