A woman was killed after being struck by a truck while crossing the road in Nabinagar, Brahmanbaria, on Friday.
The incident occurred at 12:30 pm at the Narui (Brahmanhata) CNG station area on the Nabinagar to Radhika road. The victim, Rumeeza Khatun, 80, was the wife of the late Sudhan Miah from Brahmanhata village.
Witnesses reported that Rumeeza was struck by a speeding truck from behind while on her way home, and she died at the scene.
Nabinagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahinur Islam confirmed the incident, stating that the body was recovered and sent for post-mortem at the district morgue.
