A mobile court on Wednesday sentenced a trader to 10 days in jail for illegally storing diesel at his home in Panchagarh’s Tetulia upazila.
Officials raided Mamun’s house in Tirnaihat, Tetulia, and seized 320 liters of diesel during the night, said Tetulia Upazila Nirbahi Officer Afroz Shahin Khosru, who led the drive based on a tip‑off.
Mamun was jailed after failing to produce valid documents.
Police, BGB officials, a union parishad member, and locals were present during the raid.
Authorities said such drives will continue to prevent illegal fuel hoarding and artificial shortages.
