The 13th Jatiya Sangsad on Wednesday formed the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Planning and reconstituted its Business Advisory Committee, appointing veteran lawmakers Abdul Moyeen Khan and Hafiz Uddin Ahmad to lead the respective bodies.
The proposals were moved by Parliament Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni, on behalf of Leader of the House and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman during a session presided over by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad on Wednesday.
The proposals were passed unanimously by the lawmakers via voice vote, in accordance with Article 76 of the Constitution and the relevant provisions of the Rules of Procedure.
Planning Ministry Committee
According to the proposal by the chief whip, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, lawmaker for Narsingdi-2, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Planning.

Business Advisory Committee
In accordance with the supplementary agenda, the Business Advisory Committee of the 13th Parliament was reconstituted, with Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, MP for Bhola-3, nominated as its chairman.

- Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain (Cumilla-1)

The names were accepted unanimously by the House after being announced by the Speaker.
