The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for this year have commenced across Bangladesh.

Beginning at 10:00am on Thursday, 10 April, the exams are being conducted under nine general, madrasa, and technical education boards at 2,291 centres nationwide. The tests will run until 1:00pm each day.

A total of 1.928 million students are sitting for the examinations under various education boards. The written exams will continue until 13 May, followed by practical exams scheduled from 15 to 22 May.

To ensure a fair and cheating-free environment, the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee has issued several directives. Authorities have intensified surveillance measures to prevent question paper leaks and have taken a strong stance against misinformation, with law enforcement agencies maintaining a heightened level of alert.

Chairman of the Higher Secondary Education Board, Professor Khondoker Ehsanul Kabir, noted that many students injured during the July–August public protests are appearing for the exams this year. Special assistance and facilities have been arranged to ensure their participation.

“For students unable to sit in examination halls due to injuries, district commissioners have been instructed to provide the necessary support,” he stated. “Alternative arrangements will be made based on the nature of their injuries.”
