Dhallywood megastar Shakib Khan has once again raised expectations with a striking new teaser for his upcoming film Rockstar, amplifying the buzz around the Eid-ul-Azha release. Directed by Azman Rusho, the teaser has already triggered a wave of reactions across social media platforms following its release.
The teaser opens with a quirky note for viewers: “Use headphones or not, you’ll get the full vibe of jamming for sure!” What follows is a visually rich sequence marked by high-end cinematography and polished colour grading, evoking an international cinematic standard. Sweeping shots of a massive stadium underline the film’s grand scale and production ambition.
At the centre of the teaser is Shakib Khan himself, presented with a ‘global superstar’ aura. His commanding screen presence paired with a cigar and a cryptic smile adds a layer of intrigue. The teaser showcases him in multiple avatars, as a guitar-wielding rock performer electrifying the stage, as well as in romantic and intense action-driven looks.
As the title suggests, music plays a pivotal role in Rockstar. Snippets of tracks featuring lines like “Amare uriye dao” and “Amare puriye dao,” fused with rock instrumentation and Bangla lyrics, create a strong auditory hook. A standout line from the teaser, “Music doesn’t mean acoustics; sometimes it is more than life,” hints at a deeper thematic exploration.
However, the film appears to extend beyond music-centric storytelling. The teaser includes glimpses of a search for something referred to as ‘Agun’ (fire in English, which is also Shakib’s on-screen name in this film), alongside high-octane action sequences, suggesting an underlying narrative of revenge or an intense personal conflict.
Overall, the teaser offers a clear indication that Rockstar is gearing up to be a major cinematic spectacle this Eid-ul-Azha. For fans of Shakib Khan, the film is shaping up to be one of the year’s most anticipated entertainment offerings.
The film also stars Sabila Nur opposite Shakib Khan, alongside Miss Universe Bangladesh winner Tangia Zaman Mithila. However, neither of them appeared in the teaser, adding further curiosity ahead of the film’s release.
Earlier on May 2, an animated teaser of the film was also revealed, created by cartoonist Morshed Mishu, which also garnered massive attraction.
