Heavy rain has not slowed preparations for Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s wedding. The actor will marry his long-time partner, Gauri Spratt, on Sunday, 5 July.
His Pali Hill residence has become the centre of the intimate celebration.
According to NDTV report, workers stayed busy at the house from Saturday morning. They installed decorative lights, moved furniture and completed the final arrangements despite the relentless rain. Many wore raincoats so they could continue their work without interruption.
Aamir’s family members also began arriving at the residence ahead of the ceremony. His sister and other close relatives reached the house early to help with the wedding preparations.
Aamir and Gauri have decided to keep their wedding a private affair. They chose not to book a lavish venue. Instead, they will exchange vows at the actor’s home.
The guest list includes only members of both families and a small group of close friends.
A few days earlier, Aamir confirmed the wedding while attending a special screening of a film directed by Rajkumar Hirani. He said 6 July held special meaning for them.
He added that they wanted to begin their new life together in the company of their closest loved ones. He also sought everyone’s love and blessings.
This will be Aamir Khan’s third marriage. He previously married Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao. The Bollywood star, popularly known as ‘Mr Perfectionist’, will now begin a new chapter in his life with his long-time friend, Gauri Spratt.
