Members of RAB‑6 have detained two youths and seized narcotics from Benapole border area in Jashore.
The detainees were identified as Md Noyon Hossain, 20, and Sumon Sardar, 18, said Major Fazle Rabbi, company commander of the RAB‑6 Jashore camp.
The operation took place on Saturday in the Putkhali area of Sharsha upazila. Acting on a tip‑off about a large consignment of drugs being smuggled through the border, RAB raided the area and recovered 370 bottles of Wincorex and two bottles of Phensedyl.
Major Fazle Rabbi said the detainees had long been involved in drug smuggling in the border region.
He added that a case under the Narcotics Control Act is being prepared at the relevant police station.
