Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested five persons, including the prime suspect, in connection with an attack on the deputy director of National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital in Dhaka.
RAB Legal and Media Wing Commander MZM Intekhab Chowdhury confirmed the arrests on Tuesday.
The hospital official was stabbed and injured in the attack on Monday.
