Over 1,200 arrested in nationwide police crackdown

Police have arrested a total of 1,218 individuals across the country, including the capital, in the past 24 hours as part of ongoing special drives targeting criminals and accused persons.

According to Assistant Inspector General (Media and Public Relations) Enamul Haque Sagar of the Police Headquarters, among the detainees, 889 are wanted in various cases, while the remaining 329 were apprehended for their involvement in different criminal activities, reports BSS.

Police has confirmed that coordinated operations were carried out simultaneously in multiple districts, including Dhaka, as part of efforts to strengthen law and order. The drives are part of a broader campaign to apprehend fugitives and curb rising criminal activities nationwide.
