Paul Thomas Anderson’s ‘One Battle After Another’ claimed the Producers Guild Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, cementing its status as a frontrunner ahead of the Academy Awards on March 15.
During the ceremony at the Fairmont Century Plaza, Anderson delivered an emotional tribute to Warner Bros. Pictures executives Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy, recognising their support for daring, unconventional films despite industry upheavals.
“Whatever the road lies ahead, your work this year is spectacular. Long may you wave, whatever the future holds. One battle after another,” Anderson said, praising the executives for protecting filmmakers such as Ryan Coogler and Zach Cregger.
Other top winners included HBO Max’s ‘The Pitt’ for drama, Apple TV’s ‘The Studio’ for comedy, and Netflix’s ‘Adolescence’ for limited series.
Honorary awards highlighted contributions from industry veterans: Jason Blum received the Milestone Award, Mara Brock Akil was presented with the Norman Lear Achievement Award, and Amy Pascal earned the David O. Selznick Achievement Award for her production work.
Other notable winners included ‘KPop Demon Hunters’, ‘John Candy: I Like Me’ and ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’.
