NCC Bank PLC has been recognised by Bangladesh Bank as one of the country’s top 10 sustainable banks for its achievements in sustainable banking, according to a press release.
The recognition was based on key performance indicators such as deposit collection, loan distribution, loan recovery, non-performing loans, capital adequacy, green financing, CSR activities, and the expansion of banking services.
The award was presented on August 20, 2025, at Bangladesh Bank’s headquarters in Dhaka. Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Ahsan H Mansur handed the award to NCC Bank Managing Director M Shamsul Arifin.
Also present were Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Nurun Nahar, Executive Director Manoj Kumar Howlader, Sustainable Finance Department Additional Director Chowdhury Liakat Ali, and senior officials of Bangladesh Bank. NCC Bank Head of Sustainable Banking Nighat Mamtaaz was also in attendance.
NCC Bank Managing Director M Shamsul Arifin expressed pride in the recognition, stating, “This is a significant achievement for NCC Bank and a recognition of our corporate governance and sustainable banking efforts. We always follow Bangladesh Bank’s regulations and focus on green financing, technology-driven banking strategies, and CSR to support the country’s economic development.”
