Nayeem Hasan struck his maiden Test fifty to help Bangladesh set West Indies a target of 170 in the fourth innings of the Mirpur Test after another batting collapse on the fourth day at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Bangladesh were bowled out for 142, extending their first-innings lead of 27 to 169. Nayeem top-scored with 52 off 91 balls, hitting four boundaries, before falling to Roston Chase to give the off-spinner his fifth wicket of the innings.

Resuming the day at 79/6 with a 106-run lead, Bangladesh added 63 runs before being dismissed. Nayeem reached his maiden Test half-century off 87 balls, holding the lower order together after rain interrupted play during the morning session.
