The Ministry of Commerce has appointed Mutakabbir Ahmed, deputy secretary of the ministry, as the administrator of the Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB).
The appointment was announced through an official order issued on Monday, August 4, signed by Muhammad Rehan Uddin, Director General (current charge) of the Trade Organisation division under the Ministry of Commerce.
According to the order, the newly appointed administrator has been directed to conduct a fair and impartial election within 120 days and hand over responsibilities to the newly elected committee.
He is also required to inform the ministry upon completion of the handover process.
