The National Moon Sighting Committee will hold a meeting on Monday to determine the date of the holy Eid-ul-Adha and to review sightings of the new moon for Zil Hajj, 1447 Hijri.
The meeting is scheduled to take place around 6:45pm in the conference room of the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram.
Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain (Kaikobad) will preside over the session.
According to a press release issued on Sunday, the decision was confirmed by Public Relations Officer Billal Bin Quasem.
The committee has requested citizens to report any sightings of Zil Hajj moon in sky.

Furthermore, sightings can be reported to the concerned District Commissioner (DC) or the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO).
