The death toll in Lebanon from more than a month of fighting between Israel and the Iran‑backed militant group Hezbollah has risen to 1,530, the health ministry said Tuesday, according to AFP.
The figures include 102 women and 130 children, while another 4,812 people have been wounded in the conflict.
On the recently announced ceasefire, Israel said, “The two‑weeks ceasefire does not include Lebanon.”
By contrast, Pakistan and Iran said the truce does extend to Lebanon.
