A Khulna court on Thursday sentenced three persons to different terms in prison in a corruption case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission over embezzlement of Tk 6.5 crore.
Judge Md Ashraful Islam of the Khulna Divisional Special Judge Court passed the order on Thursday morning, said ACC lawyer Selim Al Azad.
The three convicts are Imdadul Huq, a former officer of Agrani Bank; and two jute traders — Robiul Huq Biswas and Shafiul Huq Biswas.
Imdadul was present when the court announced the verdict. However, Robiul and Shafiul are now on the run.
