Kanye West, also known as Ye, returned to the stage in Los Angeles with a sold-out show at SoFi Stadium, featuring high-profile collaborators including Travis Scott, CeeLo Green and a surprise appearance by Lauryn Hill.
The performance highlighted West’s musical legacy, with guest turns designed to underscore his influence and alliances.
Hill joined West for a rendition of his 2004 hit All Falls Down, as well as tracks from her own catalogue. She was joined by her sons Zion and YG Marley for several songs.
While intended to celebrate continuity and musical legacy, Hill’s presence sparked social media debate, with many questioning why she would appear alongside West amid his recent controversies.
The show comes after West faced backlash for antisemitic remarks and the release of Heil Hitler, which led to industry estrangement. Despite this, a core circle of collaborators continues to support him, including Scott and Green, while his daughter North West also performed.
The event demonstrated that West can still draw crowds and star power, but every collaboration is now weighed against the shadow of his past statements, making the guest list as newsworthy as the performance itself.
