Juventus have dismissed head coach Igor Tudor following an eight-match winless run across all competitions, the Serie A club announced on Monday.
“Juventus FC confirms that Igor Tudor has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the men’s first team, along with his technical staff,” the club said in a statement.
Massimo Brambilla, coach of the reserve side, will take temporary charge while Juventus search for a permanent replacement.
Tudor, 47, took over from Thiago Motta in March and became the first foreign manager to lead Juventus since Didier Deschamps in 2006–07. The Croatian, who spent nearly a decade as a player in Turin, won two Serie A titles and reached a Champions League final during his time at the club.
In his first season as coach, Tudor guided Juventus to a fourth-place finish and secured qualification for the Champions League. However, the team’s form collapsed after a bright start to the new campaign. Following three opening league wins, Juventus were held to five consecutive draws before suffering three straight defeats to Como, Real Madrid, and Lazio.
Speaking after the loss in Rome, Tudor admitted the team were struggling to find their rhythm. “We prepared well, but something’s still missing. There’s no need to dramatise the situation — we’re all responsible for this difficult period,” he said.
Juventus have now gone four games without scoring and sit eighth in Serie A, six points adrift of leaders Napoli. The club will look to recover when they host Udinese on Wednesday.
