The country’s longest-running magazine show, ‘Ityadi’, has been a source of childhood memories for many. National Award-winning lyricist Rabiul Islam Jibon’s childhood was similar.
As a child, he would watch the programme with great curiosity and fascination. Now, those memories have come full circle as Jibon has written a song for Ityadi.
The song, titled ‘Amake Na Bole’, has been composed and arranged by Imran Mahmudul, and sung by Robi Chowdhury and Akhi Alamgir. It is slated to get featured on the latest episode of Ityadi, filmed on the premises of a century-old school in Char Fashion, Bhola.
Reflecting on the experience, Jibon said, “A large part of our childhood, adolescence and youth was filled with the joy of Ityadi. That black-and-white television, running from one shop to another, or rushing to a neighbour’s house when the electricity went out, and the emotion and excitement around watching the show were endless! To now write a song for Ityadi for the very first time is truly extraordinary. Imran, who has composed many songs of mine loved by audiences, composed this one as wel.”
The new episode of Ityadi will air on BTV after the 8:00 pm Bangla news on August 29, with Hanif Sanket, once again, as the director and presenter.
