Industrialisation is essential for the employment of the country’s vast youth population as jobs alone cannot meet the demand, said Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu.
Speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of a PRAN-RFL job fair at Lalmonirhat Stadium on Monday, the minister noted that industrialisation provides income opportunities for the youth while simultaneously driving national progress.
Highlighting the potential of the region, he described the soil of Lalmonirhat as highly fertile, producing significant quantities of rice, maize, and potatoes. He further noted that agro-based industries hold great potential in the area and urged entrepreneurs to establish such ventures in Lalmonirhat.
The job fair, organised by the prominent industrial group PRAN-RFL at the minister’s initiative, aims to provide employment to 1,000 skilled and unskilled youths from the district.
Lalmonirhat Deputy Commissioner Rashedul Huq Pradhan and District Council Administrator AKM Mominul Haque also addressed the gathering, among others.
