Eight winners of Huawei’s Seeds for the Future 2025, Bangladesh program have begun a transformative 10-day trip to China, where they will attend the Digital Talent Summit.
During their visit, they will engage in intensive training on 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Smart Cities, along with participating in social exchange programs aimed at broadening their global perspective, according to a press release from Huawei Bangladesh.
The program is designed to equip Bangladesh’s emerging ICT leaders with hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies. Through training sessions and interactions with global experts, these students will gain valuable insights, enhancing their ability to contribute to the country’s rapidly expanding ICT sector.
Tanvir Ahmed, Head of External Communications at Huawei South Asia, remarked, “This is our 12th year of hosting the Seeds for the Future program in Bangladesh. It has evolved beyond just a competition, offering students access to advanced ICT knowledge. We are confident that this year’s winners will fully leverage this opportunity, boosting their contributions to Bangladesh’s ICT progress.”
The selected winners include Syed Atif Ryhan from American International University – Bangladesh, Farisa Zaynah Zaman from North South University, Nafim Karim Khan from BRAC University, Md Rezwan Ullah from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Tasnia Iffat from the University of Dhaka, Md Safius Sifat from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology, Nufsat Farooque, and Wasif Uddin from the Islamic University of Technology.
Chosen from over 3,000 applicants, the winners went through a rigorous selection process involving interviews, written tests, and evaluations of individual and group performances.
Huawei’s Seeds for the Future program, which has already benefitted over 18,000 students across 141 countries, continues to foster global collaborations, solidifying its role as a key driver of future technology leadership.
