Fisheries and Livestock Minister and Agriculture Minister Amin Ur Rashid has said there is no alternative to responsibility, honesty, dedication, and coordinated work when it comes to meeting public expectations.
“Positive change in society is possible through the sincerity, accountability, and practice of good governance of those responsible at every level of government and administration,” he said while exchanging Eid greetings with officials on Monday afternoon at the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.
The minister said officials and employees remain engaged in state responsibilities for long periods, and their role in implementing national decisions, formulating policies, and improving public service quality is extremely important. If an individual is honest and responsible, its positive impact is reflected in the work environment and society, he added.
Noting that the head of government is aware of the country’s overall activities, the minister said there is no alternative to transparency, accountability, and dedication in discharging duties. The government is emphasising reducing unnecessary expenditure, ensuring transparency in plan implementation, and effective decision-making, he said, mentioning a recent initiative to review various projects to cut unnecessary costs.
State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Sultan Salauddin Tuku said officials must work with responsibility from their respective positions, with no room for any negligence. Public expectations must be met with honesty and efficiency, and officials must avoid any activities that could harm the state.
Secretary Md. Delwar Hossain said there is no room for negligence in government expenditure management or in receiving and implementing foreign aid, calling upon officials to perform their duties with complete transparency, accountability, and firmness.
Senior officials of the ministry were present on the occasion.
