Popular content creator Hero Alom has reportedly been the victim of an assault, later admitted to Mugda Hospital in the capital with injuries.
The incident occurred on Monday night at the end of Aftabnagar in the capital, where a group of assailants attacked Hero Alom.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Saiful Islam of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Badda police station confirmed the matter, adding, “We received information that Hero Alom was being attacked in Aftabnagar. We have been informed that he has been admitted to Mugda Hospital.”
The OC further said two teams had been sent off to the scene and Mugda Hospital, and that further details are being investigated.
Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants arrived on several motorcycles and beat Hero Alom, leaving him on the street. Locals then rescued him and took him to the hospital.
Meanwhile, videos of Hero Alom being transported in an ambulance and lying in bed at the hospital have circulated on social media. The videos show visible marks of injury on his face and body with his t-shirt torn.
Another video shows a group of people lifting him into an ambulance with bandages on his head, arms, and other parts of his body.
Md Sajedur Rahman, OC of Mugda Police Station, added, “We have been informed that bystanders rescued Hero Alom and admitted him to Mugda Hospital. His exact physical condition is yet to be fully confirmed.”
