A decision to attach one secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration has been revoked, while two more secretaries have been attached to the same ministry.
The information was disclosed in six separate notifications issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday.
The Ministry of Public Administration has withdrawn its earlier order to attach Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division Secretary Sirajul Noor Chowdhury to the ministry.
Zakaria, chairman of the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority, has been appointed secretary of the Planning Commission. He had previously been under orders for appointment as secretary of the Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance.
Kaniz Mowla, secretary of the Bangladesh National Parliament Secretariat, has been appointed secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. On 25 March, she had been ordered transferred to the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division under the Ministry of Planning. That order has been cancelled and this new appointment made.
Meanwhile, newly appointed Cultural Affairs Secretary Mofidur Rahman and Liberation War Affairs Secretary Israt Chowdhury have been attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Ashraful Islam has been appointed secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.
The six separate notifications state that the orders, issued in the public interest, will take immediate effect.
