The Ambassador of France to Bangladesh, Jean-Marc Sere-Charlet, and the Charge d’Affaires of Germany, Anja Kersten, held a meeting with National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener and Opposition Chief Whip Md Nahid Islam on Monday.
The diplomatic meeting took place at the NCP Central Office located in Banglamotor, Dhaka.
Other key NCP figures in attendance included the party’s spokesperson, Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, International Affairs Cell In-Charge Alauddin Mohammad, and international affairs cell member Navid Nawroz Shah.
The discussions primarily focused on the country’s post-election political landscape, the NCP’s specific role within Parliament, and various key reform initiatives.
Furthermore, the participants deliberated on issues of mutual interest regarding Bangladesh’s ongoing relations with the European Union.
During the session, views were exchanged on regional developments, cooperation within the Indo-Pacific, and the current economic situation in Bangladesh. Both parties also explored potential opportunities to expand economic partnerships.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to deepening cooperation and strengthening the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the European Union, France, and Germany through sustained engagement on shared interests.
