Dhaka University (DU) will observe a 12-day holiday from 28 September to 9 October in celebration of Durga Puja, Bijoya Dashami, Fatiha-e-Yazdaham, Prabarana Purnima, and Lakshmi Puja. During this period, all classes and examinations will remain suspended.
An official notice, signed by Dr Himadri Shekhar Chakraborty, acting Controller of Examinations at Dhaka University, confirmed the announcement.
The notice stated that, in accordance with the directives from the Ministry of Secondary and Higher Education and the University Grants Commission (UGC), all scheduled examinations at the university’s departments, institutes, and affiliated colleges will be postponed. The new examination schedules will be announced at a later date.
