Following a commanding performance in domestic theatres, ‘Domm’ is now preparing to reach audiences beyond the country, marking its first international screenings since its Eid release.
Featuring Afran Nisho, Puja Cherry and Chanchal Chowdhury, the film has maintained a firm grip on multiplex schedules, with packed shows and growing demand prompting exhibitors to increase screenings.
Domm’s global premier circuit will begin in Sydney at Bankstown Hall on March 27. The following day, on March 28, the film will be screened at Prospect at 5 pm and at Werribee Hall on March 29 at 6 pm.
Producer Shahriar Shakil described the response at home as overwhelmingly positive, noting that audience turnout has remained consistently high since release. He added that taking the film abroad at this stage reflects both its popularity and the growing appetite for Bangladeshi cinema among diaspora viewers.
Released during Eid-ul-Fitr, Domm has quickly emerged as one of the standout commercial titles of the festive slate, outperforming its competitors in both audience reception and box office returns. Within days of opening, it crossed the Tk1 crore mark in multiplex earnings.
Industry observers suggest that the film’s emphasis on narrative and emotional engagement has resonated with viewers, particularly at a time when audiences appear to be favouring story-led productions over spectacle-driven releases.
Directed by Redoan Rony, the film’s continued momentum has placed Domm firmly at the forefront of this year’s Eid releases.
