Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly in early talks to produce a Netflix documentary focusing on Princess Diana, ahead of the 30th anniversary of her passing in 2027.

The project would mark one of the couple’s most personal productions to date and is expected to be developed under their renewed agreement with the streaming platform.

According to a report by The Sun, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have pitched several ideas, with Diana’s life and enduring legacy emerging as a leading contender.

“If Harry wants to do this, Netflix will be eager to make it happen,” a source said. Archewell Productions, the couple’s media company, would oversee the project, with Netflix providing financing and first rights to distribute.

Harry has long been vocal about his mother, reflecting on her life in his memoir Spare and previous documentaries and consistently emphasizing his dedication to preserving her memory.

The potential Diana documentary would join other projects in the couple’s slate, including Meghan’s lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, which returns for a second season on August 26, followed by a holiday special.

They are also developing ‘Masaka Kids: A Rhythm Within’, a documentary highlighting the lives of orphans in Uganda.

Netflix has yet to issue an official statement confirming the Princess Diana documentary.
