Continental Hospital, a JCI-accredited healthcare institution, celebrated its 20th anniversary on Monday with a renewed commitment to patient care, having treated over 8.5 lakh registered patients and performed more than 36,000 successful surgeries over two decades, said a press release.
The hospital has also treated over 285,000 emergency patients, conducted over 90,000 preventive health check-ups, performed over 17,000 PET-CT scans, over 45,000 gastroenterology procedures, over 23,500 cardiac surgeries, over 75,000 cardiac procedures, over 450,000 cardiac consultations, and over 820,000 cardiac tests, said a press release.
The hospital has provided radiation therapy to over 230,000 cancer patients and dialysis services to over 363,500 kidney patients.
The anniversary event was inaugurated by Chairman Ahmed Ismail Hossain and Managing Director Malik Talha Ismail Bari, along with board members, doctors, nurses, directors and other senior officials.
Hossain said the hospital has become a trusted destination for advanced and specialised healthcare by bringing together modern medical facilities, advanced technology, experienced doctors and patient-centric services under one roof.
Talha Ismail said, “We have been operating as the most trusted institution in the private health sector for the past 20 years.” He added, “Behind every number is a patient, a family, and a story of trust. These milestones inspire us to be even more committed to our service.”
As part of the celebrations, the hospital offered free preventive primary health check-ups throughout the day to patients and their companions. Twenty different species of trees were planted inside the hospital. After Asr, recitation of the Holy Quran, prayers and milads were organised.
