The government has implemented thorough security measures across the country to ensure the peaceful observance of Eid-e-Miladunnabi, which will be celebrated on Saturday.
Special attention has been given to the smooth and safe conduct of congregations and processions, especially in major cities like Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Khulna, and Rajshahi, in observance of this auspicious occasion.
Home Adviser Lt Gen (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has directed law enforcement agencies to remain highly vigilant and ensure foolproof security arrangements, particularly at key mosques and other religious venues where large crowds are expected.
Enhanced surveillance and increased patrolling of sensitive areas have been put in place. Steps have also been taken to manage the crowd effectively and prevent any untoward incidents. Additionally, traffic regulation measures have been introduced to ensure smooth movement for the devotees.
Eid-e-Miladunnabi, a significant celebration for Muslims worldwide, commemorates both the birth and the passing of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
The observance of this day will take place across the country with due reverence tomorrow. Several government and non-government organisations, including the Islamic Foundation (IF), have organised extensive programs for the occasion.
The 12th of Rabiul Awal, the day Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born in 570 in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and also the day he passed away, is marked as a day of peace and divine blessings for humanity.
