The Commonwealth pre-election assessment team has held a meeting with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) to discuss preparations and the overall process of the upcoming national parliamentary election.
The meeting took place on Monday night at Hotel Sarina in Banani. The delegation was led by Linford Anduze, adviser at the Commonwealth Electoral Support Department and Chief of the Pre-Election Assessment mission.
From the BNP side, the meeting was attended by Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Advisory Council member Ziauddin Haider Chowdhury, Joint Secretary General Humayun Kabir, Organising Secretary Shama Obaid, and International Affairs Secretary Rashedul Haque.
Following the hour-and-a-half-long meeting, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury told the media that discussions were held on various issues related to Bangladesh’s national election and the upcoming electoral process.
