Brooklyn Beckham has sparked a new wave of online chatter after sharing his latest kitchen experiment: homemade strawberry jam.
The 26-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham posted a video on Instagram showing himself preparing the preserve from scratch. Captioned simply “Strawberry jam x,” the clip features Brooklyn washing and slicing strawberries, placing them in a pan and adding sugar before carefully stirring the mixture. Once cooked, he transfers the jam into small jars and presents it alongside a slice of bread.
While the post quickly went viral, many viewers drew an unexpected comparison to Meghan Markle, The Duchess of Sussex, who recently launched her lifestyle brand ‘As Ever’, making headlines earlier this year.
Fans were quick to comment on the similarities. “First Meghan, now you! What’s the obsession with strawberry jam? Anyone can make it,” wrote one user. Another teased: “Meghan Markle Mk II.” Others went further, dubbing Brooklyn the “new Meghan Markle” of the culinary world.
Not all feedback was critical, however. Some followers playfully offered him family recipes, with one advising the aspiring chef to rethink how he chopped his strawberries.
This is not the first time Brooklyn has made waves with his cooking videos. His passion for food has often drawn both praise and scepticism online. But with jam now added to his repertoire, he has once again found himself the centre of attention.
