BRAC Bank PLC has renewed its partnership with MetLife Bangladesh for the third consecutive term to provide life and medical insurance coverage for its employees and their dependents.
The agreement covers over 27,500 employees and their dependents against medical expenses, accidents, disabilities and loss of life, said a press release on Sunday.
BRAC Bank cited MetLife’s expertise in claims settlement and ability to provide tailored solutions. MetLife paid Tk2,853 crore in claims in 2025 and Tk1,384 crore in the first six months of 2026, the highest claim payouts in the industry for the respective periods, the press release added.
BRAC Bank Managing Director Tareq Refat Ullah Khan said the continued partnership reflects the bank’s trust in MetLife’s consistent service and reliable financial protection.
MetLife Bangladesh Chief Executive Officer Ala Ahmad said the bank’s continued investment in employee well-being demonstrates its commitment to creating a supportive workplace.
BRAC Bank was established in 2001. MetLife has been present in Bangladesh since 1952, serving more than one million individual customers and over 900 corporate clients.
