BRAC Bank has organised its first-ever ‘Agent Engagement Meeting’ on Sunday in Cox’s Bazar district, bringing together agents from Cox’s Bazar and Lohagara.
The initiative served as a platform to discuss the current landscape, challenges and future opportunities in agent banking, with a focus on advancing financial inclusion and driving business growth, reads a press release.
Nazmur Rahim, deputy managing director and head of Alternate Banking Channels; Nazmul Hasan, head of Agent Banking; Faisal Islam, regional coordinator; Saiful Islam, team lead; along with local officials and agent partners from the region attended the event.
The meeting featured detailed discussions on field-level challenges faced by agents, alongside practical solutions and strategic guidance aimed at improving operational efficiency and ensuring sustainable growth.
Insights from grassroots experiences helped identify priorities for enhancing service delivery and expanding outreach.
Key discussion areas included maintaining appropriate mother account balances, ensuring ethical transactions, achieving business targets through structured initiatives, and accelerating growth in agent banking operations.
The sessions also focused on strengthening KYC compliance, ensuring risk-free account opening, enhancing monitoring of digital transactions, boosting proactive customer acquisition, reactivating dormant accounts, and maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
