BRAC and BRAC University hosted the youth engagement program “The Way” (“Agamir Poth – The Path to the Future”) on the university’s Merul Badda campus in Dhaka on Sunday, 24 August 2025. The event, attended by a diverse group of students, aimed to inspire the next generation to embrace leadership, innovation, and advocacy for personal and societal growth.
The day featured interactive talks, panel discussions, debates, and activities showcasing youth-led initiatives alongside BRAC’s programs. A highlight was the session “The Science of Finding A Way,” where BRAC Executive Director Asif Saleh encouraged students to break free from societal constraints and pursue bold ambitions. He emphasized that long-term transformation requires persistence and collaboration across activism, policy, and business.
BRAC University Vice-Chancellor Professor Syed Ferhat Anwar also addressed students, stressing that true fulfilment lies in identifying and addressing societal gaps through innovation. A “SparkTalk” segment featured Wity Roy, a visually impaired student from Mongla, who shared her journey of resilience.
The event also included a parliamentary-style debate and a panel discussion titled “Beyond One Way,” with experts such as The Daily Star Chief Business Officer Tajdin Hassan, Mommy Kidz CEO Nishat Anjum Palka, and It’s Humanity Foundation Chairman Bashira Harun. Other activities included a music performance by Armeen Musa and exhibitions of youth-led projects tackling social challenges.
The event highlighted BRAC’s wide-ranging initiatives, including the Water Hackathon, Amra Notun Network, and several BRAC development programs, while showcasing student-driven innovation and creative expression.
