Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) has instructed its subordinate marketing companies to ensure the supply of fuel oil to registered direct customers, including industrial establishments.
The corporation has issued necessary directives to Padma Oil Company, Meghna Petroleum, and Jamuna Oil Company to maintain the regular supply of fuel to their registered direct customers.
These direct customers generally include various industrial units and large-scale fuel consumers who procure fuel oil directly from these marketing companies.
According to the BPC, any disruption or rationing in the fuel supply risks hampering industrial operations, which could subsequently impact overall economic activities.
To ensure the country’s fuel oil supply remains normal, import activities are continuing according to the predetermined schedule, and fuel oil parcels are being brought into the country regularly.
Additionally, fuel oil is being consistently transported from the main installation to depots in different regions of the country via railway wagons and tankers.
The BPC stated that the full implementation of these instructions will facilitate the continued operation of industrial units and other direct customers, thereby supporting the nation’s economic activities.
