BNP Senior Joint Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that the party’s preparations for the upcoming elections are in the final stages.
Speaking to reporters at the BNP central office in Naya Paltan on Tuesday, he added that any additional steps required will be taken once the election schedule is announced. “
Rizvi emphasised that the national elections and the referendum should be held on the same day, describing it as the desire of the people of Bangladesh.
He reiterated that the party’s preparations are nearly complete and assured that BNP will act swiftly once the schedule is released.
Addressing the role of religion in politics, Rizvi cautioned against its excessive use. He said those who are exploiting religion for political gain will face the judgment of the people.
Overusing religion in politics will be detrimental, he added.
On the National Citizen Party (NCP), Rizvi noted that parties who are opposing now could become part of the BNP in the future.
