Bhutanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Dasho Karma Hamu Dorjee called on Faqir Mahbub Anam, Minister for Post and Telecommunication, ICT Division and Ministry of Science and Technology, at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the telecommunications and information technology sectors.
Minister briefed the Bhutanese ambassador on Bangladesh’s ongoing ICT developments, expansion of digital services, and future plans for the sector.
The ambassador appreciated Bangladesh’s progress in ICT and expressed keen interest in expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Both sides agreed to work together on technology exchange and digital service development.
The meeting was attended by Posts and Telecommunications Division Secretary Abdun Naser Khan, Political Counselor of the Bhutanese Embassy in Dhaka Jigdrel Y Tshering, and Counselor for Trade Affairs Dawa Tshering.
