Barcelona have completed the signing of Germany forward Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund.
The Spanish champions paid a reported fee of 29 million euros, including possible add ons, to secure the 24 year old.
The club confirmed that Adeyemi has signed a five year contract. His deal will keep him at Barcelona until June 30, 2031.
Adeyemi is Barcelona’s second signing of the summer. Earlier, they brought in England forward Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.
The German attacker can play as a striker or on either wing. Barcelona hope his pace and versatility will strengthen their attack.
The club needed more attacking options after Robert Lewandowski left this summer. Marcus Rashford also returned to Manchester United after his loan spell ended.
Barcelona are still looking to add another forward. Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez remains their top target in the transfer window.
Adeyemi made his Germany debut in 2021 under current Barcelona coach Hansi Flick.
He joined Borussia Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in 2022. During his four seasons with the German club, he scored 36 goals in 146 matches across all competitions before making the move to Spain.
