Bangladesh have guaranteed at least a silver medal in table tennis at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games after their mixed doubles pair advanced to the final. In the semifinals on 13 November 2025, Javed Ahmed and Khoy Khoy Sai Marma overcame Bahrain 3–1.
The Bangladeshi duo began strongly, winning the first game 13–11 against Bahrain’s Rashed and Kenda Mohammed. Bahrain fought back in the second game, taking it 11–7 to level the match.
Bangladesh regained the lead in a closely contested third game, edging 12–10, before dominating the fourth game 11–3 to seal victory and secure their place in the final.
The pair will now face hosts Turkey in the final, with the gold medal at stake. This result ensures Bangladesh leave the Games with at least a silver medal in table tennis.
Earlier in the tournament, Bangladesh opened their medal account through weightlifter Marzika Akter Ikra, who claimed bronze in snatch, clean and jerk, and total weight categories.
